I live in Vermont and have always lived here (except 2 years in PA for college before I transferred back to VT). I love it because of the snowboarding! Your snowboarding looks fun today! I would love to go to Utah to snowboard…I’m heading to Colorado in a few weeks to snowboard. Have you ever been to Crested Butte, CO?

  5. December 24, 2010 9:13 pm

I wish I could snowboard. Bruised my tailbone 2x! haha. Not coordinated at all. SO enjoy it for me. I am a professional hot chocolate drinker though, that I do well in the mountains! hehe.
    Cheers and merry xmas!

um, utah looks awesome. i’m gonna be in salt lake in march. what’s a must-see sight/ activity? i know nothing, help!

i was born in manhattan. i went to undergrad in manhattan. then worked in manhattan, moved to brooklyn, and now go grad school in manhattan. the boyfriend lives in manhattan, so i kind of live there again now. basically, i am stuck in new york for life. i love it here though, so i guess i can’t complain. i also spent weekends in the catskills growing up, so that explains my love for skiing, and my understanding of how awesome the utah snow looks – as everyone says, east coast skiing pales in comparison. truly.

    merry xmas, janetha :)

I love the pics of the ski day! Beautiful!!

    1. where were you born and where do you live now? Born in Dermott, Arkansas/Monticello(grew up) and now after 9 major moves we live in Parker, Colorado!

    2. why do you love the city/town/state where you live now
I love the views…Rocky Mtns. Pike’s Peak, snow, no humidity, hikes, small town feel to some extent and Lodo when I want a bigger city!

    Gorgeous photos! Merry Christmas Janetha!

I was born in San Antonio Texas, currently live in Austin area.

I LOVE Austin. Living in the fattest state in the nation, I love living in one of the FITTEST cities. I think it made a huge difference in my life

I was born in Marin County, moved to Seattle at age 8, moved back to CA at 18. Moved to NYC at 32, moved back to Seattle 8 years later. It’s like I did one big circle.

I love Seattle because the mountains are so breathtaking, and the coffee is amazing. :)

I was born in Indiana in a farming community. I moved to Santa Barbara, CA when I was 18 to go to college. I don’t live in SB anymore but have stayed in Southern CA.

I love Southern CA because of the WEATHER, mountains, desert, and ocean are all within a few hours. Where I live I can lay on the beach and look at the mountains. It’s pretty dreamy!

I’ve moved a lot! I was born in Richmond, VA, and moved to Sacramento, CA when I was three months old. A year later, we moved to LA for 6 months, followed by Irvine (Orange County) and then Burlingame (SF Bay Area). My parents promised my brother and I that we would NEVER move again, but then, two years later, my dad decided he was tired of working for an HMO and that he wanted to open a private practice outside of California…SO we moved to BOISE (of all places!). I did my undergrad in Washington DC, then moved back to Boise for a year, and then back to DC a few months ago to start grad school.

I LOVE living in DC…there’s never a dull moment! So many interesting things to do, places to go and people to meet. :-)

Utah is gorgeous…Whenever I fly into Salt Lake, I’m awed by the beauty and magnitude of the mountains. They’re breathtaking!

Merry Christmas, Janetha! Hope it’s wonderful!

That looks like so much fun!
I was born and raised in Massachusetts. I’ve never lived anywhere else. I’d love to move to Portland, ME. That’s my favorite city in all the land….
    Merry Christmas!

Great pics! Looks like a lot of fun!

I was born in Portsmouth, Virginia, but have lived in Tennessee since I was three. I currently live in Clarksville, Tennessee. I don’t LOVE it, but I’m happy enough. I got a job here right out of college that I do love so I just decided to stay. It’s a military town so it’s full of all sorts of different people from all over the country. I do like that it’s only about a 45 minute drive to Nashville though!

Hope you have a very Merry Christmas!

I am from Vermont and live in Virginia. Vermont is a beautiful place for sure but I don’t miss the uber long winters and the mud season! Virginia is awesome, it has everything it feels like – mountains, beach, seasonality & I love it here!!!!!

Those photos make me miss VT though. Maybe it is time for a visit : )
