search terms and a giveaway.
sometimes i need a laugh so i go check out what terms people typed into their search engine which led them to my blog. yes, it is humorous because my blog popped up~but what is even funnier is the fact that people are actually searching for these terms to begin with. i mean really…
- “mucinex guy.” hmm.. this dude is slightly creepy, why you would want to search for him i am not sure:
but i can tell you mucinex is a cureall. pricey, but it works.
- “my butt hurt so bad after my first spin class.” ohhh me TOO! you can read about it here. i wonder if those padded shorts do any good? maybe she knows?
- “turkey woman costume.” wrong blog. check out courtney’s ;)
- “homemade viking costume.” well that one makes sense. if you need tips on how to make one~i am your girl. i make a mean viking getup:
- “does drinking protein shake make people taller?” answer: NO. i am 5’1” and drink multiple protein shakes weekly. sorry charlies.
- “growth cycle of an entlebucher.” oh man. mine is so tiny. then again, she is mixed with a cavalier, so she will never be as big as a full grown entle. she is still the cutest bean i’ve ever seen!
- “words that rhyme with meal.” hmmm well let’s see: deal, real, feel, heel, ill, kill, kneel, peel, seal, teal, veal, wheel, zeal. there ya go. not sure why someone would have to google that. here is a better question: words that rhyme with ORANGE.
- “homemade greek goddess costume.” yep.. i got one of those too!
- “grumpy coffee mug.” umm last time i checked coffee was the reason i am NOT grumpy.
- “chobani greek yogurt review.” well.. what do you know! you came to the right place~time for a comprehensive CHOBANI REVIEW!!
the lovely people at chobani set me their delicious, protein-packed yogurts to try out & review. i enlisted the help of momma b. and we ate our way through the samples. here is what we thought:
chobani honey
janetha: someone ate my honey flavor! i have no idea what it tastes like. bummer.
letter grade: not applicable.
momma b: creamy.. don’t really like the honey flavor. personal preference.
letter grade: C+
chobani peach
janetha: seeing as how peach is my favorite fruit, this was a no brainer. FAVORITE flavor by far~not too overpowering in the sweet category and i love that it is not ORANGE or artificially colored like other peach yogurts. the big chunks of peach at the bottom were the best part. side note: marshall also loved this flavor the most.
letter grade: A+++
momma b: YUMMY! just the right amount of sweetness with the greek yogurt taste.
letter grade: A+
chobani pomegranate
janetha: i loved the pom arils in the yogurt~they were fun to crunch on and the tart of the pom went great with the tart of the greek yogurt.
letter grade: A
momma b: WOW this one was a surprise. i thought i wouldn’t like it but it was very tart and flavorful!
letter grade: A
chobani strawberry
janetha: i had higher hopes for this one. while it tasted good, there was a tad artificialness to the whole thing. it was good but i probably would opt for another flavor when purchasing chobani.
letter grade: B+
momma b: not enough strawberries, but a great flavor!!
letter grade: A
chobani vanilla
janetha: i was stoked on the fact that the sugar was lower in this flavor. it was second runner up to the peach. i love vanilla anything so it was a given that i would love this one. i would definitely buy this flavor over and over!
letter grade: A+
momma b: someone stole my vanilla! i would have loved it.
letter grade: it would have gotten a B+ (haha ok mom, how would you know what it would have got?)
chobani blueberry
janetha: i was disappointed to have NO blueberries in this one. i still liked the flavor but i think my container was defective.. sad.
letter grade: B
momma b: VERY good, second favorite. had a couple blueberries but could have used more.
letter grade: A
chobani plain
janetha: plain greek yogurt is my yogurt of choice. i like to have unsweetened yogurt as a base and then sweeten it myself~i am not a fan of added sugar. so this was definitely a winner for me. i used it on both sweet and savory dishes and it worked well for both. perhaps a bit better in the savory department?
letter grade: A-
momma b: did not try the plain.
letter grade: not applicable.
janetha: uhhhh i think i died and went to heaven. this is the creamiest greek yogurt ever. and i have a sensitive tongue which is easily irritated by pineapples but this yogurt did not hurt it at all! score.
letter grade: A+
momma b: this one i LOVED! had small chunks of pineapple.
letter grade: A
so there you have it! it was unanimous that peach chobani was our favorite, but that may be because we are both really partial to peaches ;) if i was to purchase chobani in stores, i would buy the peach, vanilla and pineapple flavors. again, i try to stray from flavored yogurts but these did taste INCREDIBLE!
thanks chobani!

sweet cho-tato salad! yummy!
Easy easy – guacamole! I’ve actually made it before and it’s so good!!
Ohmigosh I get the CRAZIEST search engine views. All the time I get ‘my boyfriend is hungry’ and last week I got ‘butter my nuts.’ WTF??
Ooo I might have to make their creamy apple pie this weekend. Doesn’t it sound smashing?
I would DEFINITLEY make the cho-nana bread. YUM!
I get some weird things that lead people to my blog too! Like “does prunes and water give you a stoma” what the heck??
I’d love the apple pie!
I LOVE guacamole, I imagine it would be amazing with chobani!
OK your little bean is so cute, here’s what I want to do (that I do to all small animals that will let me)… pick them up (gently of course!) Flip them over so that they are in the “baby” position. Kiss them on the fleshy part of their cheek. OK. Ok with you? Sam loves this but pretends to hate it b/c she’s a cat and she knows she’s supposed to hate it. Why am I so off topic on everyone’s blogs today. You should see how I butchered poor Heabs comments! Gah!
OK, I never, ever ever ever ever buy anything but plain yogurt unless it’s a frankenyogurt made with nutrasweet. Seeing as I try to avoid those now, and I’m addicted (like in the vein) to greek yogurt , I just stick to the plain stuff. Good to know that in a pinch there are other flaves out there. Thanks for the review! Have a great night!
PS. You DO have an amazing array of costumes!
I love love pineapple chobani! I would love to try to make the lemon-blueberry chobani loaf.

I just got one of these, so don’t count me in the contest, but I wanted to say that Pineapple and Peach were my absolute favorites. I didn’t really care for Blueberry or Strawberry.
i think i’ll be making the chobani pumpkin muffins tonight!!
yum yum! I would probably try all the recipes but the carrot soup looks super good! I love creamy veggie soups!
I would love to try the pumpkin muffins!!! or just eat it plain… hhaha :)
Hehe…oh yes, I have been much entertained by the search terms to find me! Of course I can’t think of them now, but they are almost as amuzing as yours! ;) Fabulous costumes, btw.
Thanks for the Chobs review. I have only tried a couple flavors since I have been in the UK most of the time they have been out. Now that I am back, I am definitely trying the Pom flavor! Had no idea there were actual pom arils in there!
i would loveee to try the pumpkin muffins!

Hi Janetha!!!
Just wanted to say a quick hello! Recently started reading your blog after clicking a link on SnackFace’s blog! Anyways you have totally convinced me to try Body for Life!! I actually put it on hold at the library but I have a feeling I might be buying it in the near future!
I’ve lost approx 30lbs in the past year but I am far from my “dream” body, I’m really hoping that Body for Life will help me achieve those goals!
:)
The carrot soup sounds good!
I would love to try the Holey Guacamole! It sounds delicious and I never thought to try it with Greek Yog.

Love Chobani and although the recipes looks god on the site (like the pumpkin muffins and carrot soup) I have to say, I’m pretty proud of my own Chobani creation. Baked Carrot Cake Oatmeal with Pineapple Choabani frosting. Hmm, maybe I should submit this to their site?
Roasted Beets with Creamy Chobani Dill Sauce

I am DYING to try the pomegranate chobani now!! Plain greek yogurt is the best to me, but the peach is great too.
I am obsessed with spinach artichoke dip, so that’s the recipe I’d like to try!
I want to make the Lemon-Blueberry Chobani Loaf!
Bake the night away?! That sounds awesome. Enjoy!
Sweet cho-tato salad look kind of interesting… I’d try it :) Pineapple is my favourite by faaar but I love 2% Greek anything :)

The guac or the spinach artichoke dip. I might have to try both!
Oops, forgot, I linked to you! :)
Haha, I love search terms. They’re always so ridiculous. And I want to try the pineapple chobani–it sounds amazing!
Janetha! I am jealous because I can only get about half of those flavors at my local stores. But peach is BY FAR my favorite.
I would most like to try the first recipe on that page because I love spinach and artichoke dip.
p.s. This is Jenny (LBD from Tracker) and I finally have a real blog. My blog is not fitness related, but I linked to yours anyway because I stalk it like every day. I hope that’s cool. If not, let me know. Hope all is well!
Spinach and Arti-CHO dip! And I’m linking now!
http://eatventures.wordpress.com
I would try the lemon blueberry loaf! I love lemon blueberry flavoured things and the muffin recipe I tried last week was a flop, so I definitely need a new one.
I’d definitely try to make the Chobani Pumpkin Muffins! Yummers!
I’m with you on that Mucinex Guy. I think he’s only made creepier by the accent that he’s voiced over with.
I’m such a dessert girl, so my first Chobani recipe would likely be the Cho-nana Bread. Hubby & I can’t eat bananas fast enough and they always get too ripe. That’d be the best way to use them up!
Souped up carrot soup! I LOVE carrot soup and Seattle is absolutely freezing right now, so it is perfect soup weather.
I would try the sweet cho-tato salad because anything with sweet taters in it is perfect to me!!
I’m linking back to your giveaway now:)

As far as the recipe I’d like to try…well, I already make my guac with yogurt, so how about Spinach Artichoke?
Haha, search terms make me happy. Except when it’s really creepy stuff. But my innapropriate nature on the blog kind of makes that inevitable I guess.

This is all kinds of bad in Diet World, but I love dips…I’d probably have to flip a coin to decide between the Warm Spinach Arti-CHO-ke (cute, cute) and the guacamole. Mmm…warm pitas…
Holy Guacamole! Of course, it’s also so fun to say (in addition to my love of anything avocado…). And, I’m dying to try the pinapple yogurt–I hear such great things and I can’t find it!

Dude, who keeps stealing all your Chobani!? You need to get a locked up fridge for those things :P
Honestly, I wouldn’t make any of the recipes. I’ve never tried Greek yogurt before (not available in Canada) so I wouldn’t want to waste any of them and eat it all straaaaaight up :)
