search terms and a giveaway.

December 3, 2009

sometimes i need a laugh so i go check out what terms people typed into their search engine which led them to my blog.  yes, it is humorous because my blog popped up~but what is even funnier is the fact that people are actually searching for these terms to begin with.  i mean really…

  • “mucinex guy.” hmm.. this dude is slightly creepy, why you would want to search for him i am not sure:

image

but i can tell you mucinex is a cureall. pricey, but it works.

  • “my butt hurt so bad after my first spin class.” ohhh me TOO! you can read about it here. i wonder if those padded shorts do any good? maybe she knows?
  • turkey woman costume.” wrong blog. check out courtney’s ;)
  • homemade viking costume.” well that one makes sense. if you need tips on how to make one~i am your girl. i make a mean viking getup:

image

  • does drinking protein shake make people taller?” answer: NO. i am 5’1” and drink multiple protein shakes weekly. sorry charlies.
  • growth cycle of an entlebucher.” oh man. mine is so tiny. then again, she is mixed with a cavalier, so she will never be as big as a full grown entle. she is still the cutest bean i’ve ever seen!

pj

  • words that rhyme with meal.” hmmm well let’s see: deal, real, feel, heel, ill, kill, kneel, peel, seal, teal, veal, wheel, zeal.  there ya go. not sure why someone would have to google that.  here is a better question: words that rhyme with ORANGE.
  • homemade greek goddess costume.”  yep.. i got one of those too!

image

  • grumpy coffee mug.” umm last time i checked coffee was the reason i am NOT grumpy.
  • chobani greek yogurt review.” well.. what do you know!  you came to the right place~time for a comprehensive CHOBANI REVIEW!!

the lovely people at chobani set me their delicious, protein-packed yogurts to try out & review.  i enlisted the help of momma b. and we ate our way through the samples.  here is what we thought:

chobani honey

image

janetha: someone ate my honey flavor!  i have no idea what it tastes like. bummer.

letter grade: not applicable.

momma b: creamy.. don’t really like the honey flavor. personal preference.

letter grade: C+

chobani peach

image

janetha: seeing as how peach is my favorite fruit, this was a no brainer. FAVORITE flavor by far~not too overpowering in the sweet category and i love that it is not ORANGE or artificially colored like other peach yogurts.  the big chunks of peach at the bottom were the best part. side note: marshall also loved this flavor the most.

letter grade: A+++

momma b: YUMMY! just the right amount of sweetness with the greek yogurt taste.

letter grade: A+

chobani pomegranate

image

janetha: i loved the pom arils in the yogurt~they were fun to crunch on and the tart of the pom went great with the tart of the greek yogurt.

letter grade: A

momma b: WOW this one was a surprise. i thought i wouldn’t like it but it was very tart and flavorful!

letter grade: A

chobani strawberry

image

janetha: i had higher hopes for this one.  while it tasted good, there was a tad artificialness to the whole thing.  it was good but i probably would opt for another flavor when purchasing chobani.

letter grade: B+

momma b: not enough strawberries, but a great flavor!!

letter grade: A

chobani vanilla

image

janetha: i was stoked on the fact that the sugar was lower in this flavor.  it was second runner up to the peach.  i love vanilla anything so it was a given that i would love this one.  i would definitely buy this flavor over and over!

letter grade: A+

momma b: someone stole my vanilla! i would have loved it.

letter grade: it would have gotten a B+ (haha ok mom, how would you know what it would have got?)

chobani blueberry

image

janetha: i was disappointed to have NO blueberries in this one. i still liked the flavor but i think my container was defective.. sad.

letter grade: B

momma b: VERY good, second favorite. had a couple blueberries but could have used more.

letter grade: A

chobani plain

image

janetha: plain greek yogurt is my yogurt of choice.  i like to have unsweetened yogurt as a base and then sweeten it myself~i am not a fan of added sugar.  so this was definitely a winner for me.  i used it on both sweet and savory dishes and it worked well for both.  perhaps a bit better in the savory department?

letter grade: A-

momma b: did not try the plain.

letter grade: not applicable.

image

janetha: uhhhh i think i died and went to heaven. this is the creamiest greek yogurt ever. and i have a sensitive tongue which is easily irritated by pineapples but this yogurt did not hurt it at all! score.

letter grade: A+

momma b: this one i LOVED! had small chunks of pineapple.

letter grade: A

so there you have it!  it was unanimous that peach chobani was our favorite, but that may be because we are both really partial to peaches ;)  if i was to purchase chobani in stores, i would buy the peach, vanilla and pineapple flavors.  again, i try to stray from flavored yogurts but these did taste INCREDIBLE!

thanks chobani!

NOW.. the fun part.  would you like to try out some chobani of your own???

OK your little bean is so cute, here’s what I want to do (that I do to all small animals that will let me)… pick them up (gently of course!) Flip them over so that they are in the “baby” position. Kiss them on the fleshy part of their cheek. OK. Ok with you? Sam loves this but pretends to hate it b/c she’s a cat and she knows she’s supposed to hate it. Why am I so off topic on everyone’s blogs today. You should see how I butchered poor Heabs comments! Gah!

OK, I never, ever ever ever ever buy anything but plain yogurt unless it’s a frankenyogurt made with nutrasweet. Seeing as I try to avoid those now, and I’m addicted (like in the vein) to greek yogurt , I just stick to the plain stuff. Good to know that in a pinch there are other flaves out there. Thanks for the review! Have a great night!

PS. You DO have an amazing array of costumes!
